The design of this camshaft, with its early intake valve opening and long exhaust duration, creates the kind of overlap needed for that signature race car idle. To make sure your drivetrain can keep the engine in its powerband with this cam, you'll need an aftermarket torque converter with at least a 2500 stall speed and a lower gear ratio. Expect reduced vacuum at idle, so a vacuum canister, pump, or hydroboost system will be necessary if you have power brakes.
