Starting with a .875-inch diameter and a 1.95-inch seat height, these COMP Cams Pro-Magnum lifters are built for engines that see higher RPMs. They are specifically designed to prevent harmful lifter pump-up at higher engine speeds, thanks to the proper positioning of their internal piston. This unique design can lead to a notable power increase compared to standard hydraulic lifters, making them a solid choice for performance builds. An adjustable valve train is required for proper setup, with a recommended pre-load of .002" to .004" when the engine is warm.
These lifters fit a wide range of Ford V8 engines, including popular small blocks like the 289, 302, and 351 Windsor, as well as the 351 Cleveland and Modified, and the 400M. They also cover Ford big blocks such as the 429 and 460.
