COMP Cams Pushrod 8.550in Straight 7/16

COMP Cams is well-known for making performance valvetrain components, and these pushrods are a great example of that. If you're building or rebuilding an engine that's going to see some serious use, especially with a high-lift camshaft, these pushrods are designed to handle the stress. They're 8.550 inches long and have a substantial 7/16 inch diameter, which gives them extra stiffness and a higher natural frequency compared to common pushrods. This is important because in high-performance applications, pushrods can experience impact loads of up to 7500 lbs, and using the wrong ones can lead to big problems.

What really sets these apart is the material and construction. They're made in the USA from one-piece, heat-treated chromemoly tubing. This material is significantly stronger than standard 1000 Series steels and is built to withstand extreme valve train setups. The wall thickness is a consistent .165 inches, even in the tapered ends, which is much thicker and more robust than typical .080 or .125 inch walls. The ends feature a 5/16 inch ball with a 210 radius, which helps provide extra clearance for the rocker adjuster at high lift and allows for easier installation.
