COMP Cams Pushrod 9.800in Straight 7/16

Starting with a .165-inch wall thickness, even in the tapered ends, these COMP Cams pushrods are notably stiffer and stronger than common .080-inch or .125-inch wall designs. This consistent thickness, combined with a 7/16-inch diameter, offers increased stiffness and a higher natural frequency, which is a significant advantage in applications with ample intake port and lifter clearance. These pushrods were developed using technology originally seen in NASCAR and NHRA race engines, where they can experience impact loads up to 7500 lbs. Using the wrong pushrod in such demanding situations can lead to catastrophic failure.

Each pushrod is made in the USA from one-piece, heat-treated chromemoly tubing. This material is stronger than typical 1000 Series steels and is well-suited to handle extreme valve train setups. The ends feature a 5/16-inch ball, and the radii at each end provide extra clearance for the rocker adjuster at high lift. This design also allows the pushrods to be installed in either orientation, "up" or "down." The main body has a straight 7/16-inch outer diameter that tapers down to a 210-degree radius.
