It needs to be strong enough to avoid bending or damage, and it must work in harmony with all the other valve train components, especially at higher engine speeds. For engines built for racing, only the best parts will do, and COMP Cams Hi-Tech pushrods are made to meet that demand.

These pushrods are made from a single piece of .080-inch wall, seamless chromemoly tubing. This design ensures maximum strength and durability. The ends are precisely formed to add thickness and strength where it's needed most, while keeping the wall thickness consistent all the way around. They're also heat-treated for extra toughness, making them compatible with guide plates. To ensure consistency, they are OD ground and finished with a black oxide coating. Each pushrod has its length and part number laser-etched on the outside for easy identification.
