It's constructed from a single piece of seamless chromemoly steel tubing, which gives it excellent strength and durability. The ends are precision formed to add thickness and strength where it's needed most, while the entire pushrod is heat-treated to ensure it can handle the stresses of engines running at high RPMs, especially when used with guide plates. COMP Cams also OD grinds them for consistency and finishes them with a black oxide coating, making them easy to identify with the length and part number laser etched right on the surface.
