When you're building or rebuilding an engine, especially one that's going to see higher RPMs or demanding use, the pushrods are a critical part of the valve train that shouldn't be overlooked. This is the COMP Cams Hi-Tech pushrod, measuring 9.900 inches long with a 3/8 inch diameter and a substantial .080 inch wall thickness.
COMP Cams makes these from a single piece of seamless chromemoly steel tubing, which gives them a lot of strength without adding unnecessary weight. The ends are specially formed to be thicker and stronger right where they make contact, while the rest of the tube maintains a consistent wall thickness. They're also heat-treated to handle the stress of working with guide plates and OD ground for accuracy. You can easily identify them by their black oxide finish, with the length and part number laser etched right on the side.
