Starting with a .135" wall thickness, this COMP Cams Hi-Tech pushrod is built from a single piece of seamless chromemoly steel. This construction method, combined with the material choice, makes it 37% stiffer than pushrods with a .080" wall thickness. The 8.950" length and 3/8" diameter are standard for many OHV engine applications, and the black oxide coating along with heat treatment helps protect it from wear and corrosion.
