It's heat-treated for maximum strength, especially in the tip area where it contacts guide plates and rocker arms, ensuring it won't bend or fail under stress.
The precision-formed ends add thickness and durability where it matters most, while maintaining consistent wall thickness. COMP Cams also OD grinds these pushrods for uniformity and finishes them with a black-oxide coating. Each pushrod is laser-etched with its length and part number for easy identification, making installation and verification straightforward.
