This pushrod is constructed from a single piece of seamless chromemoly steel, which is then black oxide coated and heat-treated for added durability. Compared to pushrods with a .080-inch wall, this .105-inch wall version is about 17% stiffer. This improved stiffness helps ensure consistent valve operation, especially in performance applications where valve lift and spring pressures are higher.
