When you're rebuilding the top end of your engine, getting the valve train geometry just right is crucial for performance and durability. These Dual Taper pushrods from COMP Cams are designed to help you achieve that accuracy. They measure 7.400 inches long and feature a unique dual taper design where the middle of the pushrod is larger in diameter than the ends. This gives you the benefits of a beefy 7/16-inch pushrod for stiffness, combined with the clearance of a 3/8-inch pushrod, which is especially helpful for rocker arm clearance at peak lift and clearing offset roller lifters.

Built in the USA, these pushrods are constructed from a single piece of heat-treated 4130 chromemoly steel tubing. This material choice makes them notably strong and stiff, with a .165-inch wall thickness that's stiffer and more durable than previous .125-inch wall offerings. This improved stiffness translates directly to more accurate valve motion, which is key for consistent engine operation and longevity. The 5/16-inch ball ends are also designed with a 210-degree radius for proper rocker arm contact.
