If you're rebuilding the top end of your engine and need precise valve control, these COMP Cams Dual Taper pushrods are a solid choice. They're designed to give you the strength and rigidity of a larger diameter pushrod while still offering the clearance needed in some setups, especially with offset roller lifters or modified intake ports.
These pushrods are made from a single piece of heat-treated 4130 chromemoly steel tubing, which is notably stronger and stiffer than many other pushrods, especially those with a thinner .125" wall. The dual taper design means the middle section is larger than the ends, providing that extra clearance at the rocker arm adjuster at peak lift. This helps ensure more accurate valve motion and better durability over time.
Being made in the USA from one-piece tubing means fewer potential failure points. The 5/16" ball ends are formed with a 210-degree radius, which helps them seat properly in the rocker and lifter.
