If you're rebuilding the top end of your engine and need precise valve train geometry, these COMP Cams Dual Taper pushrods are a solid choice. They're designed to give you the best of both worlds: the stiffness of a larger diameter pushrod combined with the clearance needed in tight spots.

These pushrods feature a unique dual taper design where the middle section is larger than the ends. This gives you the rigidity of a 7/16" pushrod, which helps ensure more accurate valve motion and durability, especially at higher engine speeds. At the same time, the tapered ends provide clearance for rocker arm adjusters at peak lift and can also clear the top of most offset roller lifters. The .165" wall thickness is notably stiffer and stronger than older .125" wall designs, contributing to better performance and longevity.

They're made in the USA from a single piece of heat-treated 4130 chromemoly steel tubing, a strong material that stands up well to the demands of an active valve train. This construction makes them stronger than many other pushrods available.
