If you're rebuilding the top end of your engine, getting the valve train geometry just right is key for accurate valve motion. These dual taper pushrods from COMP Cams are designed to help you achieve that precision. They measure 9.150 inches long and feature a unique dual taper design where the middle of the pushrod is larger in diameter than the ends.

This design gives you the benefits of a larger, 7/16" pushrod for increased stiffness and strength, but with the clearance often found in a 3/8" pushrod. The tapered middle section helps clear the top of offset roller lifters and provides extra room for the rocker arm adjuster at peak lift. COMP Cams makes these from a single piece of heat-treated 4130 chromemoly steel tubing, which is stronger than many other pushrods out there. The .165" wall thickness is also stiffer and more durable than previous .125" wall offerings, leading to more accurate valve motion and better overall durability for your engine.
