Starting with a .165" wall thickness, these COMP Cams Dual Taper pushrods are built stiffer and stronger than previous .125" wall designs. This improved stiffness translates directly into more accurate valve motion and better durability for your engine's valvetrain. They are constructed from one-piece, heat-treated 4130 chromemoly steel tubing, a material known for its strength, and are made right here in the USA.

The unique dual taper design means the middle of the pushrod is larger in diameter than the ends. This gives you the benefits of a large, 7/16" pushrod for rigidity, while still offering the clearance of a 3/8" option. This design also incorporates a specific radius at the ball ends to provide extra clearance for the rocker arm adjuster at peak lift, which can be crucial in high-performance applications. The tapered ends also help clear the top of most offset roller lifters, making them a versatile choice for updated engine builds.
