The unique dual taper design means the middle of the pushrod is larger in diameter than the ends. This gives you the benefits of a larger 7/16 inch pushrod while still offering the clearance of a 3/8 inch pushrod, which can be helpful for higher-flowing intake ports. The ends feature a 210-degree radius to give extra clearance for the rocker arm adjuster at peak lift, and the tapered design also helps clear the top of most offset roller lifters.

With a .165 inch wall thickness, these pushrods are stiffer and stronger than previous .125 inch wall offerings. This improved rigidity leads to more accurate valve motion and better durability over time.
