When you're building an engine, especially one that's going to see high RPMs or serious racing, every part in the valve train matters. The pushrod might seem simple, but it's doing a tough job transferring motion from the lifter to the rocker arm. COMP Cams' Hi-Tech pushrods are made to handle those demands. They're constructed from a single piece of .080" wall, seamless chromemoly tubing, which gives them a lot of strength without adding unnecessary weight. This one-piece design also means there are no brazed joints that could potentially fail under stress.

The ends of these pushrods are precision formed to add extra thickness right where it's needed most, in the tip area that contacts the lifter and rocker. They're also heat-treated to ensure they work well with guide plates, preventing wear and maintaining alignment. COMP Cams also OD grinds them for consistent diameter and finishes them with a black oxide coating. You'll find the length and part number laser etched right on the pushrod, making it easy to identify them during installation.
