When you're rebuilding the top end of your engine, especially for performance applications, the pushrods are a critical component that shouldn't be overlooked. This set from COMP Cams includes sixteen Hi-Tech pushrods, each measuring 8.175 inches long with a 3/8-inch diameter and a .080-inch wall thickness. These are designed to handle the demands of higher RPMs and more aggressive valve train setups found in many performance Ford, Mercury, and Lincoln V8 engines from the late 60s through the late 70s.

These pushrods are constructed from a single piece of seamless chromemoly steel, which gives them a solid foundation for strength and durability. The ends are precision formed to add thickness where it's needed most, ensuring they won't bend or wear out prematurely, even with guide plates. They're also heat-treated for maximum strength and then finished with a black oxide coating. This coating not only helps with corrosion resistance but also makes them easy to identify, as the length and part number are laser etched right onto the pushrod itself.
