COMP Cams Pushrods Hi-Tech 5/16 8.200

When you're rebuilding the valve train, the pushrods are a critical link, and COMP Cams Hi-Tech pushrods are built to handle the job. These are a one-piece design, made from seamless chromemoly steel tubing with a .080" wall thickness. This construction ensures they are strong enough to avoid bending or burning up at the ends, even in high-RPM applications. They fit a wide range of vehicles, including many Ford, Mercury, and Buick models from the late 60s through the late 70s, as well as some later Pontiac Firebirds.

The ends of these pushrods are precision formed to add thickness and strength where it's needed most, while maintaining consistent wall thickness. They're also heat-treated to ensure they work well with guide plates. COMP Cams then OD grinds them for consistency and finishes them with a black oxide coating. Each pushrod has its length and part number laser etched on the outside for easy identification, which is a handy detail when you're working on an engine.
