Starting with a .105 inch wall thickness, these COMP Cams Hi-Tech pushrods are built from a single piece of seamless chromemoly steel. This construction method, combined with heat-treating and a black oxide coating, results in a pushrod that's notably stiffer – about 17% more rigid than pushrods with a .080 inch wall. The 5/16 inch diameter and 7.850 inch length are common dimensions for many overhead valve (OHV) engine builds, making them a solid option when you're rebuilding or upgrading your engine's valvetrain.

Using a stronger, stiffer pushrod helps ensure that valve timing remains accurate, especially at higher engine speeds or under increased load. This can lead to more consistent performance and better power delivery. The one-piece design also means there are no brazed joints, which can be a failure point in other pushrod designs. This set includes 16 pushrods, which is what most V8 engines require.
