These COMP Cams Dual Taper pushrods are made from one-piece, heat-treated 4130 chromemoly steel tubing, which is stronger than most pushrods available. The .165-inch wall thickness is stiffer and stronger than previous .125-inch wall offerings, leading to more accurate valve motion and better durability for your engine.
The dual taper design means the middle of the pushrod is larger in diameter than the ends. This offers the benefits of a large, 7/16-inch pushrod while still providing the clearance of a 3/8-inch option, especially useful for higher-flowing intake ports. The taper also helps clear the top of most offset roller lifters, and the 5/16-inch ball ends have a specific radius to give extra clearance to the rocker arm adjuster at peak lift. These pushrods are made in the U.S.A.
