This 7-degree retainer is made from high-grade tool steel, giving it a notable balance of light weight and exceptional strength. It's designed to fit 11/32-inch valve stems and works with valve springs that have a 1.055-inch outer diameter, like COMP Cams' own 26915, 26918, 26986, and 26995 springs.
Compared to conventional chromemoly steel retainers, these tool steel versions are about 33% lighter, yet still offer robust wear characteristics that can handle demanding race applications. They are CNC-machined for consistent quality and have been Spintron-tested to extreme RPMs, ensuring reliability when you push your engine hard.
