These 7-degree tool steel retainers from COMP Cams are built for serious performance. They're made from high-grade tool steel, offering a great balance of light weight and exceptional strength, making them suitable for demanding race applications. They are approximately 33% lighter than standard chromemoly steel retainers, and only a few grams heavier than titanium, giving you a notable advantage in valve train efficiency.
Developed with advanced FEA and CAD software, these retainers are CNC-machined to ensure consistent quality and are Spintron-tested to extreme RPMs. They are designed to fit 11/32-inch valve stems and work with springs that have a 1.290-inch outer diameter, such as COMP Cams' own 26926 springs, and are intended for non-LS engines.
