They feature an arced, recessed, and contoured design, which COMP Cams developed using FEA analysis to create a strong and stiff body without adding unnecessary weight. You'll notice a few updates over older designs. Instead of standard retaining clips, these use durable spiral lock clips to secure the trunnion, similar to how piston pins are retained. COMP Cams also added stress-relieving radii to critical areas like the body, trunnion, and pushrod seat insert for improved durability. Even the included locking nuts have been revised to offer a larger surface area, helping to maintain valve lash and reduce wear over time. The spring oiler channel through the body also ensures better lubrication for the valve train components. These are designed to handle up to 700 lbs of open spring pressure and require screw-in studs and guide plates.

This particular rocker arm, part number 19049-1, has a 1.72 ratio and is intended for use with 7/16" studs on a variety of Ford vehicles, including many Bronco, Econoline, and F-Series trucks from the 1960s through the 1990s.
