COMP Cams Rocker Arm Ultra Gold Arc LS1

When you're rebuilding the top end of your LS-based engine, what you get in this box is a full set of 16 COMP Cams Ultra-Gold ARC Series rocker arms. These are the 1.72 ratio, non-adjustable, pedestal-mount style, and they come complete with the necessary bolts and mounts to get them installed. They're built to handle more than stock, especially when you're running higher-lift cams and springs that put extra load on the valvetrain. The roller tip is a significant upgrade over the stock slider design, which can wear out quickly under those conditions and isn't ideal for high-lift cams. This roller tip helps reduce friction and wear.

What really sets these apart is the CNC-extruded aluminum body, which COMP Cams says is stiffer and stronger than other aftermarket aluminum rockers. This increased strength is crucial for maintaining valve control, especially with stiffer valve springs. Inside, you'll find a larger-than-stock billet trunnion package that uses captured needle bearings. This design is intended to help prevent common failure points found in some other rocker designs. These are a bolt-down, non-adjustable design, similar to OEM LS rockers, making installation straightforward, though you might need valve cover spacers or clearancing depending on your specific setup. COMP Cams backs these well-built rocker bodies with a limited lifetime warranty against breakage.

These rocker arms are designed for a wide range of GM LS-based engines, including popular applications like the LS1, LS2, LS6, and LS-based truck engines (4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L). The 1.72 ratio is a direct replacement for stock, but if you're looking to increase valve lift without a full cam swap, COMP Cams also offers an 1.82 ratio version of this rocker. Just be aware that these will not work with 2014+ L83 Direct Injection engines or 2007+ 6.0L engines that use rectangle port heads.
