When you're working on the valve springs for your Big Block Chevrolet, you'll run into the factory exhaust valve rotators. Normally, you'd have to stack a bunch of shims under the spring to make up for the height the rotator occupied. That's not the most precise way to do it, and the shims can shift around.
These seat spacers from COMP Cams are a much cleaner solution. They're precisely .300" thick and have an outside diameter of 1.732", which works perfectly with COMP's 26120 Beehive springs. The best part is the outside step that locates the spring, keeping it from walking around on the cylinder head. It’s a well-built part that makes for a much more solid installation compared to stacking shims.
