Product Details
This hardened steel spring seat features an inboard locating shoulder, measuring .520 inch on the inside diameter. This design helps center the seat and securely hold the valve spring in place, which is crucial for high-RPM LS engines where standard shims might not hold up under extreme spring pressures. The .520 inch ID works well with popular springs like the COMP Cams 26918 Beehive valve spring.
Unlike older designs that required significant head machining to fit an external cup, this locator uses an internal shoulder. This makes installation more straightforward while still providing the necessary support and location for the spring. The 1.300 inch outer diameter and .060 inch thickness are designed to fit within the typical valve spring pocket of LS heads.
