COMP Cams is well-known for making performance valvetrain components. For LS engines that see high RPM and extreme spring pressures, standard shims just won't hold up. These spring seats are a simple but effective solution to protect your cylinder heads and keep your valve springs properly located.
Made from hardened steel, these seats feature an inboard locating shoulder that centers the seat and holds the spring firmly in place. This design helps prevent the spring from shifting, even under demanding conditions. The 4873 features a 1.300" outer diameter and a .520" inner diameter, specifically engineered for LS applications.
