Starting with a 21-4N forged high-strength steel alloy, these COMP Cams Sportsman valves are built for street and competition engines. The material choice means they can handle the demands of performance builds while remaining affordable. They feature a minimum 50 HRc hard tip, so you don't need a separate lash cap, which simplifies installation and maintenance. These intake valves have a 2.020-inch head diameter and a 5.111-inch length, designed to fit Chevrolet Small Block engines.

To help increase airflow without making the valve head any larger, COMP Cams incorporated a high-flow underhead fillet relief. This, along with swirl-polished fillets, not only raises the flow rate but also helps reduce the chance of cracks forming, making the valve more resistant to failure.
