These COMP Cams Sportsman Stainless Steel valves are built from a 21-4N forged high-strength steel alloy, a solid choice for street and competition engines. They feature a 2.055-inch head diameter and a 4.900-inch length, designed to fit GM LS engines. The hardened tip has a minimum hardness of 50 HRc, meaning you won't need a separate lash cap.
To help your engine breathe better, these valves include a high-flow underhead fillet relief. This, along with the swirl-polished fillets, helps increase airflow while also reducing the chance of radial cracks, making them more resistant to failure. The 11/32-inch stems are hard chrome-plated and have a special surfacing that helps retain oil, unlike thin flash plating. They are recommended for use with hydraulic, mechanical, and roller lifter applications.
