Precision machined from SAE 4140 chromemoly steel, this 10-degree retainer is built to handle the increased pressures from larger diameter valve springs. COMP Cams engineers used advanced 3D CAD and FEA analysis to contour the top profiling, which helps reduce stress and mass while allowing for increased lift. This retainer is CNC-machined to exact tolerances and is designed for valve springs with an outside diameter between 1.500 inches and 1.550 inches. It fits a wide range of vehicles, including many Chevrolet C/K series trucks and Ford Bronco models from the 1980s and 1990s.
The use of high-grade chromemoly steel ensures a strong and durable component for your engine's valvetrain. The black oxide finish adds a layer of corrosion resistance.
