If you're upgrading your engine's valve springs, especially to those with higher pressures, you'll need retainers that can handle the load. These 7-degree steel retainers from COMP Cams are built to do just that. They're designed to work with valve springs that have an outer diameter between 1.500 and 1.550 inches, and they fit 11/32-inch valve stems.
COMP Cams uses 3D CAD and FEA to contour the top of these retainers, which helps reduce stress and mass while allowing for increased lift. They're CNC-machined from high-grade SAE 4140 chromemoly steel for solid durability.
