COMP Cams Valve Springs 1.240in Beehive

This kit includes eight COMP Cams Beehive Valve Springs, designed to work with hydraulic or solid flat tappet and hydraulic roller cams. They fit most Small Block Chevy heads without needing extra machining, making them a solid option for a range of classic and performance vehicles like the Chevrolet Camaro, Pontiac Firebird, and Chevy II.

These springs offer improved valve train stability and a lighter overall valve train. The unique Beehive shape allows for less spring pressure while still providing excellent valve control, and the reduced weight of both the spring and retainer helps increase high RPM horsepower and durability. The oval/multi-arc wire shape is placed at the point of highest stress, which helps handle valve train stress more efficiently and allows for better heat dissipation, leading to a longer life. Because of this advanced design, the valve train can handle more RPM and more aggressive camshaft profiles.
