Originally labeled as a sealed for life transmission, Mercedes-Benz now recommends changing the filter and fluid every 60,000 miles. The Rein kit goes beyond the standard oil filter, oil pan gasket, dipstick cover locking pin and drain plug washer service by including a replacement harness plug sleeve to address a source of potential control module damage from leaking fluid. Rein recommends the OE or Pentosin ATF-134 ultra-high-performance automatic transmission fluid for this service.
