CSF 2021+ Ford Bronco 2.7L EcoBoost External Transmission Oil Cooler Kit

If you're heading out on an adventure in your 2021-2025 Ford Bronco with the 2.7L EcoBoost engine, keeping your transmission cool is crucial, especially when you're adding weight or tackling tough terrain. The factory liquid-to-liquid cooler is fine for daily driving, but it can quickly get overwhelmed when you're towing, overlanding, or off-roading. This external transmission oil cooler kit from CSF is designed to give your Bronco the robust cooling capacity it needs to handle those demanding situations.

CSF partnered with DYME PSI to integrate their innovative quick-release hose and fitting system, which makes installation much faster and simplifies maintenance like fluid changes. The hoses themselves are made with a Superstrasse CPE lined stainless steel braid, offering excellent flexibility, flow, and resistance to chemicals, making them perfect for motorsports and off-road use. At the heart of the kit is CSF's high-performance transmission oil cooler, featuring a 26mm 12-channel microtube design that maximizes oil flow and surface area for efficient heat transfer. It's paired with 11 rows of cooling tubes and 12 rows of 8mm multi-louvered fins to dissipate heat effectively. This kit replaces the factory stack cooler with a CNC billet-machined thermostatic plate, which not only reroutes fluid to the new external cooler mounted in front of the radiator but also includes a thermostat to help the transmission reach optimal operating temperature faster, especially on cooler days. Unlike the factory cooler which can be vulnerable to off-road damage, this billet plate offers a more durable setup.

During real-world testing in the California desert, this kit demonstrated impressive performance, keeping peak transmission oil temperatures at just 180 degrees F (82 degrees C) even in stop-and-go traffic after off-road use, with an ambient temperature of 93 degrees F (34 degrees C). This represents a significant reduction in temperatures and a substantial increase in cooling capacity compared to stock. The kit includes all necessary brackets and hardware for a complete bolt-on installation.
