Product Details

If you're working on a classic Porsche 911 or 930 Turbo from 1965 through 1989, keeping your engine oil cool is crucial for performance and longevity. This engine oil cooler from CSF is designed to replace your original unit, offering a modern interpretation of the classic Behr design with significant improvements in functionality and reliability. It's built to handle the demands of both street driving and track use, ensuring your engine stays within optimal temperature ranges.

CSF engineered this cooler to be a direct fit for both early (1965-1973) and late (1974-1989) models, a feat that required careful attention to the connection fittings. For the earlier models with a threaded M30 connection, CSF uses a specially designed M30 "Widemouth Fitting" that maintains the original oil pipe's inner diameter to maximize flow, offering 50% greater flow capacity than the stock connection. For the later models, the cooler features upgraded stainless steel fittings that replace the OEM aluminum slip-on tube, which are common leak points. These machined stainless steel fittings are stronger and more durable than the original aluminum parts. The cooler itself features a modern tube and fin core with 7 cooling tubes and 8 rows of fins, designed for higher flow and better heat dissipation. This core is further strengthened with support bars tested to withstand up to 290 psi. The base plate, another common failure point on original coolers, is replaced with a CNC-machined billet aluminum plate that is stronger, flatter, and more resistant to warping, with O-ring recesses milled directly into the billet for a perfect seal.

Beyond its functional upgrades, CSF also focused on maintaining an OEM+ aesthetic. The cooler case features the precise curvature of the original, including the stamped "X shaped" design for strength and the OE part number below the CSF logo. It's finished in a durable, anti-corrosive Titanium color Thermal Heat Dispersion Cerakote, which not only looks classy but also aids in heat dissipation. This cooler is a complete drop-in replacement, meaning no modifications are needed for installation. You'll also find raised mounting pads and strengthening ridges built into the base plate, mirroring the original's details.
