About this part

Product Details

This is a DFC rear brake wheel cylinder, a key part for your vehicle's braking system. It's designed to fit a range of classic vehicles, including the Henry J Corsair, International Scout, and various Jeep DJ models. The wheel cylinder's job is to push the brake shoes outward against the drum when you press the brake pedal, creating the friction needed to slow down or stop your vehicle.

When you step on the brake pedal, hydraulic pressure from the master cylinder forces fluid into the wheel cylinder. This pressure then pushes two opposing pistons outward, which in turn force the brake shoes to expand and make contact with the inside of the brake drum. If your wheel cylinder is leaking or seized, you might notice a spongy brake pedal, reduced braking performance, or even brake fluid leaks around the rear wheels. This DFC wheel cylinder is a well-built replacement to help restore proper function to your rear drum brakes.
