The secondary air injection pipe is an integral part of the vehicle's emissions control system, designed to reduce emissions by routing fresh air to the exhaust system to help eliminate unburned hydrocarbons at startup and at operating temperature. Also known the AIR pipe, this secondary air injection pipe is designed to replace an original pipe that has corroded or been damaged during removal for routine service on specified vehicles.
