Eagle Chevrolet 400 Balanced Rotating Assembly Kit

If you're building a high-performance Chevrolet 400 engine for serious racing, especially with nitrous or forced induction, a balanced rotating assembly is the foundation you need. This kit from Eagle takes the guesswork out of matching critical components, ensuring everything works together harmoniously for maximum power and reliability under extreme conditions.

At the heart of this assembly is a forged 4.000-inch stroke crankshaft made from strong 4340 steel, built to handle the immense forces generated in racing applications. Paired with it are 6.000-inch H-beam connecting rods, also forged from 4340 steel, which are known for their robust design and ability to withstand high RPMs and heavy loads. These rods come equipped with 7/16-inch ARP 2000 bolts, a popular choice for their strength and reliability in performance builds. The pistons are forged 2618 aluminum from JE, featuring a -5cc flat top design and a 4.155-inch bore, optimized for performance combustion. They come with plasma-moly file-fit piston rings, allowing for precise gap setting to match your specific engine build and application. Finally, the kit includes King XP rod and main bearings, which are well-regarded for their durability and performance in demanding environments.

This assembly is balanced, meaning the crankshaft, connecting rods, pistons, and rings have been precisely weighted and matched to reduce vibration and improve engine smoothness and longevity.
