If you're building a serious Chevrolet 400 small block for extreme competition, like heavy nitrous use or high boost applications, a balanced rotating assembly is where you start. It includes a forged 4340 steel crankshaft with a 3.875-inch stroke, paired with 6.000-inch H-beam connecting rods. These rods are fitted with 7/16-inch ARP 2000 bolts, known for their strength and reliability under stress.

The pistons are forged 2618 aluminum from JE, featuring a -10.8cc dome and a 4.165-inch bore size, designed to work with the dish volume for your specific compression target. This assembly also comes with plasma-moly file-fit piston rings, which allow for precise gap setting to match your bore and intended use. For the bottom end, King XP rod and main bearings are included, offering robust performance and durability for high-load situations. This is a fully balanced assembly, meaning the crankshaft, rods, and pistons are pre-balanced to reduce engine vibration and stress on your main bearings and block.
