If you're building a naturally-aspirated Chevy 350 for racing, a balanced rotating assembly is a critical starting point. At the heart of this assembly is a 3.480-inch forged 4140 crankshaft, chosen for its strength and durability under high stress. Paired with this are 6.000-inch I-beam connecting rods made from tough 4340 steel, secured with 7/16-inch ARP 8740 bolts. These rods are built to withstand the forces generated in a performance engine. The pistons are forged 4032 aluminum from Icon, featuring a -3.7cc flat top design and a 4.040-inch bore size, perfect for achieving a desired compression ratio in many performance applications. The assembly also comes with plasma-moly standard gap rings and King XP rod and main bearings, ensuring smooth operation and longevity.
