When you're building a high-performance Chevy 396 engine for serious racing, including applications with nitrous or forced induction, a strong rotating assembly is the heart of the operation. This balanced assembly from Eagle is designed to handle the demands of competition, providing a solid foundation for your build.

This assembly starts with a forged 4340 steel crankshaft featuring a 4.000-inch stroke, paired with 6.135-inch H-beam connecting rods. These rods are secured with 7/16-inch ARP 8740 bolts, known for their strength and reliability under stress. The pistons are forged 4032 aluminum from Icon, measuring 4.125 inches in bore diameter and featuring a 17cc dome to help achieve your desired compression ratio. The assembly also includes plasma-moly file-fit piston rings and King XP rod and main bearings, ensuring smooth operation and durability.

This is a fully balanced assembly, meaning the crank, rods, pistons, rings, and bearings have been precisely balanced together at the factory. This reduces engine vibration and allows the engine to rev more freely and safely. Please note that this assembly is not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California.
