Built around a 3.750-inch forged 4340 crankshaft, this Eagle Pro Street rotating assembly is a solid foundation for a naturally-aspirated racing engine, specifically designed for the Chevy 400 platform. The choice of forged 4340 steel for both the crankshaft and the 5.700-inch I-beam connecting rods means you're getting components that can handle the stresses of performance applications without breaking the bank.

The connecting rods are secured with robust 7/16-inch ARP 8740 bolts, a name known for reliability in high-stress builds. Complementing the bottom end are DSS forged 4032 pistons, featuring an inverted dome design with a -16cc volume and a 4.155-inch bore size. These pistons are paired with plasma-moly file-fit rings, allowing for precise gap setting to optimize performance and sealing. To ensure smooth operation and durability, the assembly includes King XP rod and main bearings, which are well-regarded for their performance characteristics.
