When you're building a Chevy 400 engine for street use, especially one that'll see regular driving on pump gas and run naturally aspirated, getting the rotating assembly right is key. You'll receive a 3.750-inch cast crankshaft, a set of 5.700-inch I-beam connecting rods, and a set of 4.185-inch inverted dome pistons from Icon. The connecting rods are paired with 3/8-inch ARP 8740 bolts, known for their strength and reliability in performance applications. The Icon pistons are forged from 4032 aluminum and feature a -23cc inverted dome design, intended to work with specific cylinder head volumes for optimal compression. They come with plasma-moly file-fit rings, meaning you'll need to gap them to your specific engine build. King rod and main bearings are included to ensure proper oil clearance and smooth rotation for the crankshaft and rods. To complete the assembly, this kit also includes a damper and a flexplate, making it a comprehensive package for your engine build.
