If you're building a Chevy 400 engine for street use, this Eagle Street & Strip rotating assembly is a solid foundation. At the heart of this assembly is a 3.750-inch cast crankshaft, paired with 5.700-inch 5140 I-beam connecting rods. These rods are secured with 3/8-inch ARP 8740 bolts, known for their strength and reliability in performance applications. The kit includes hypereutectic pistons with an inverted dome, measuring 4.125 inches in bore size and featuring a -30cc volume. These pistons come with plasma-moly file-fit rings, allowing for precise gap setting during installation. To round out the assembly, King rod and main bearings are included, providing essential lubrication and wear protection for these critical rotating components.
