If you're building a high-performance Chevy 400 engine for serious racing, a balanced rotating assembly is the foundation for reliable power. This Eagle Competition Rotating Assembly is designed to handle the demands of racing, including the extra stress from nitrous or forced induction setups. It takes the guesswork out of matching critical internal components, ensuring they work together harmoniously from the start.

This assembly includes a forged 4340 steel crankshaft with a 3.750-inch stroke, paired with 6.000-inch H-beam connecting rods. These rods are secured with strong 7/16-inch ARP 8740 bolts, known for their reliability under high stress. The pistons are forged 4032 aluminum from Mahle, featuring an inverted dome design with a -16cc volume and a 4.165-inch bore size, which is common for Chevy 400 builds. They come with plasma-moly file-fit rings, allowing for precise gap adjustment to match your specific cylinder wall finish and operating conditions. For smooth operation and durability, King XP series rod and main bearings are included, offering excellent load-carrying capacity.

This entire assembly is balanced at the factory, which is a crucial step for reducing engine vibration and wear, especially at higher RPMs. Having a balanced rotating assembly means your engine will run smoother and last longer.
