If you're building a street-driven Chevy 400 that needs to run on pump gas and handle naturally aspirated power, this Eagle Street & Strip rotating assembly is a solid foundation. It's designed to give you reliable performance for everyday driving while still offering a good power potential without needing race fuel.

This assembly starts with a 3.750-inch cast crankshaft, paired with 6.000-inch I-beam connecting rods. These rods are beefed up with 3/8-inch ARP 8740 bolts, which are known for their strength and reliability in performance applications. For the pistons, you get forged 4032 aluminum pistons from Mahle, sized at 4.125 inches with an inverted dome design that creates a -16cc volume. This piston and dome combination is key for achieving a good compression ratio on pump gas. The assembly also comes complete with plasma-moly standard gap rings and King rod and main bearings, so you have the essential rotating components ready to go.

When putting this assembly together, pay close attention to piston-to-valve clearance, especially if you're using an aftermarket camshaft.
