This assembly starts with a forged 4140 crankshaft featuring a 3.750-inch stroke and 350 main journal size, which is a popular choice for many Chevy V8s. Paired with it are 5.700-inch long I-beam connecting rods made from strong 4340 steel, secured with 7/16-inch ARP 8740 bolts for reliable clamping force. The pistons are forged 4032 aluminum from ICON, featuring an inverted dome design with a -23cc volume and a 4.155-inch bore size, which helps achieve a specific compression ratio suitable for racing applications. The assembly also includes plasma-moly file-fit piston rings and King XP rod and main bearings, ensuring smooth operation and durability.
