If you're building a high-performance Chevy 454 engine for serious racing, a robust rotating assembly is the heart of your build. This Eagle Competition Rotating Assembly is designed to handle the extreme demands of competition, including nitrous and forced induction setups. At the core of this assembly is a 4.000-inch forged 4340 steel crankshaft, chosen for its strength and ability to withstand high stress. Paired with it are 6.135-inch H-beam connecting rods, known for their solid construction and reliability under load. These rods come equipped with 7/16-inch ARP 8740 bolts, a popular choice for their strength and ability to maintain clamping force under extreme conditions. The pistons are forged 2618 aluminum from ICON, featuring a 27cc closed chamber dome design and a 4.320-inch bore size, ready for a 4.320-inch cylinder bore. They also include plasma-moly file-fit rings, allowing for precise gap setting to optimize performance and sealing. To ensure smooth operation and longevity, the assembly includes King XP rod and main bearings, recognized for their advanced materials and performance capabilities.
