If you're building a high-performance Chevy 454 for racing, this Eagle Competition Rotating Assembly is a solid foundation. It's designed to handle the demands of competition, including applications using nitrous or forced induction. This assembly includes a forged 4.000-inch stroke crankshaft made from 4340 steel, known for its strength and durability under stress. Paired with this are 6.135-inch H-beam connecting rods, which are a popular choice for their robust design and ability to withstand high RPMs and significant cylinder pressures. These rods come equipped with 7/16-inch ARP 8740 bolts, a well-regarded fastener known for its reliability in performance applications.

The pistons in this kit are forged 4032 aluminum from ICON, featuring an 18.3cc closed chamber dome design. This dome shape is intended to increase compression ratio, which is crucial for making power in a performance engine. The pistons are designed to work with plasma-moly file-fit piston rings, allowing for precise gap setting to optimize sealing and performance. To complete the rotating assembly, King XP rod and main bearings are included. These bearings are engineered for high-load conditions and help ensure proper oil clearance and smooth operation of the crankshaft and connecting rods.
